How long does it take to get my Notary Certificate?

In Massachusetts, the time to obtain your notary certificate could be 3-6 weeks. Costs and hours of class time will vary by state. If your state requirements are minimal the process would be closer to 4 weeks. A few states do require training and classes in advance of completing an exam, such as California.
