How I Quit My Registered Nurse Job To Work From Home as a Notary Nursepreneur...

In the picture above, on left was my last day of working in the ICU as a critical care registered nurse, in 2019. I quit my job within 3 months of starting a wildly successful notary business. They threw me a pizza party, as I was leaving nursing for good. On the right is 2021 with my family. We were at Biltmore In North Carolina on a somewhat extended 3-week family vacation. We went all over the country, on that trip.

Prior to 2019, I worked grueling night shifts. Missed too many holidays and important family time because my job beckoned. It was an honest living but had its drawbacks. High stress, long shifts, press Gainey scores, and mandatory meetings. Nothing I loved more than working an exhausting night shift and then having to stick around a couple more hours to listen to some self-important hospital administrator. Like many people I know, I tried & failed at various attempts to start a business. MLMs, drop-shipping, and the like. I've been there, done that.

In 2019 my wife and I finally struck gold with this crazy notary idea. We literally started this business on a shoestring budget! Our income more than doubled, while subsequently putting in less than half of the work hours or effort of my dreadful nursing job. We paid cash for cars, went on trips, finally bought a jet-ski that I always wanted and so much more. Those things were nice, but you know what was even better?

No boss, no meetings, no "time off" requests being denied. I quit missing church functions, weddings, and the daddy-daughter dances. That stuff is priceless. I bought my time back! And time is a precious commodity. In 2020, my father's health started declining. The reality that he wouldn't be around much longer was staring us in the face. He passed away last February, but I am eternally grateful for the last 2 years of his life that we were able to pour into him! We took dad everywhere! Created many, many lasting memories with him in the sunset of his life because of the time-freedom, and financial peace we had been afforded by this business of ours.

Flash forward to 2023...

We have authored 2 best-selling books in legal services: "A GOLDEN PEN" and "A Digital Pen" which are available on AMAZON/KINDLE/AUDIBLE/ GOOGLE PLAY STORE. Additionally, I host a Spotify, iHeartRadio & Apple Podcast "The Notary Ninja Show" also a YouTube channel by the same name, where my wife (Grace) & I teach a host of free tips to notaries & soon-to-be notaries!
